Second half of S2 is one of my favorite parts of the series S3's first half is the Uprising arc and it almost made me quit, because Kenny the Ripper is such a nonsense character crashing through the worldbuilding like a wrecking ball

One of AOT's greatest strengths in S1 and S2 was its worldbuilding. Like, this show sacrificed pacing for the sake of strong worldbuilding. Before Wall Maria fell, there were 8 training divisions. The top 10 graduates of each were allowed to join the MPs. That's 80 a year.
