Something that really rubs me the wrong way about this election is that it should have had the biggest third party turnout yet. But I guess both parties shaming us for not wanting their shitty fucking candidates was effective lmao

Like both the left and the right cover such a wide range of ideas and beliefs that it's impossible for only 2 parties to represent everything. How did America even come to only 2 parties?
Because the two try to cover everything. Like there’s this assumption that dems care about LGBT, marijuana, etc while republicans don’t, but it’s more complicated than that. It’s all up to an individual but people here are taught to only look at D or R

like even only on the left we have "laisves partija" (Freedom party) which is the most progressive party when it comes to lgbt and stuff. Then we have "Christian dems", "Liberal movement", "Social demokrats", "Social work demokrats"... and a couple more.

Only 10 of 17 parties even got any members in the parlement after the election but still 10 is better than 2...
