LA is not the same city as SF. They are almost complete opposites. Single family homes in LA do not signify wealth the same way they do in SF. He has low income and middle class households in mind when choosing to not support this bill.

With strong tenants protections, I don't understand how this is bad for low income people who live in single family homes. Renters in SFH will get an awesome deal, and homeowners have the option to sell or build themselves, but won't have to. They don't need protecting.
