what if some of us don't want to own home but do want stability? I've never had a desire to own a home I have to maintain. I just want to not feel inches from the streets when my lease is up Homeownership culture isn't king of my generation, we should be thinking about that too

also it's bad math. Hasn't the income multiplier for buying a house increased from 4x to 10x in recent decades? you can't save enough on home-made toast to make up 6x your salary
