Oh pleeeze.. Review your family history. You may have had a comfortable childhood. Go back a few generations. Youll see.

Those prior generations made it their purpose to ensure their children had a better life by investing in the future. That wasn't the prior generations goal, investment stats bear that out.

Well Chad, i am guessing you were never drafted, had polio, scraped for food, worked in child labor. So hard growing up in postwar usa.

The most heartening thing about engaging you now and again is how many new YIMBYs it makes. You two & Ol Dick Spottswood really should get an award for best YIMBY recruiters.

Where do you get these cultists? Guarantee all will leave for suburbs after they start families. Yes that includes Ms. Trauss.

You act like no one ever grew up in a city. I did. It was great. I was much more independent than my suburban (trapped) counterparts.

Ha Ha. When you have a four year old bouncing off the walls of your tiny apartment and your closest outdoor space is a park with hypodermic needles and homeless addicts, you will understand.

Why is it so incomprehensible to you that many people would prefer live in cites. This is making me wonder if you realize how many people already live in them...

Not at all. Why bring up strawman? I'll lived in dense urban environments and understand the advantages. Lifestyle changes and determines priorities. Accepting differences should be goal for both of us.

I grew up in rural, suburban and urban environments. I know which one I prefer but understand why someone would prefer another... which is better for raising children is just subjective.
