The real opposition occurred because decisions to progress rapid growth were made undemocratically behind closed doors then sprung on unsuspecting residents.

I second this observation. Few people oppose all housing. Many favor projects with appropriate density .

Yes because humans literally sprung out of nowhere! It’s like behind closed doors they made a whole generation of humans!

You mock - but major decisions were sprung on residents; made unilaterally by a planner and a council that admitted in writing it failed to conduct any outreach.

Yes yes. How’d this community outreach go? Asking for a friendhttps://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/news/2016/11/10/george-lucas-affordable-housing-marin.amp.html …

The guy who couldn’t divert a Creek; so he took his remote location and said to build affordable housing there. Enviro Regs blocked him; he blamed local residents & fake news ran his story. Was all about diverting a Creek.

So. We didn’t build affordable housing because...a creek. Got it

You seem highly misinformed. Environmental regulations don’t allow creeks to be diverted - especially in western Marin. Location is remote; nowhere near transit.

I’m very well informed. I’m just saying that’s stupid enviro regulations that won out instead of low income people having a roof. Low income people are actually capable of driving a car they pay for with their job. I know that sounds crazy to you though

May I suggest you and your fellow developers & YIMBYs take up your fight against the environmentalists with them. I see the Sierra Club opposes your positions.

Actually, national Sierra Club supports. And they need to crack down on rogue local chapters. (We see you @SierraClub. Stop ignoring this problem.)
