Question, aren't rich people creating less carbon when we increase the density? I don't think anyone is saying density alone will solve it, but it is better than sprawl, no?

I guess it depends on the assumptions around wealthy carbon emissions from consumption within a city vs a suburb. If consumption is held constant, that makes sense to me.

Also happy to tax the rich a lot more, tax gas and carbon emissions, then spend that money on subsidized housing especially in rich neighborhoods, and therefore integrate while we densify. #YIMBY
