My fellow YIMBYs, pump the brakes on this. There are non-NIMBY reasons to oppose closing 2 high-performing, well attended schools. And there are YIMBY reasons to oppose replacing those schools with one that's even MORE remote, on the ass-end of San Jose's awful sprawl.

I grew up in this neighborhood and went to this HS. I'm not surprised some of the people quoted say the quiet part out loud; it's the sort of place "high density housing" is pejorative whether or not it's "low cost." But I'd bet more people are upset about closing good schools.
