@jorge_guajardo I also read AI Superpower and The Second Mahine Age a few months back. I thought second machine age was more educational, but AI superpower has more of a China angle for those interested in the US-China AI race.

I have not read the Second Machine Age, ordering now. I’ve read many on AI, but more on the wonky aspect of it “Perfect Algorithm”, “Book of Why”, “Life 3.0”, “The Sentient Machine”. My recommendation for your son, focus on the humanities.

The more I learn about AI, the more I’m convinced the future is in the humanities. My son wants to be a broadway actor, and I say, “go for it”. They won’t be replaced by AI.

didn’t one of the books says even if more people go into the “humanities” kind of professions, such as childcare and teaching, we are unlikely to see these professionals better compensated as more supply of them will make it more competitive to get these types of jobs?
