What’s the difference between IDA and Ghidra?
To non-security people who don’t get why Ghidra is such a big deal: Imagine Windows was $10k and Linux 5.0 just came out of nowhere.

I don't know, but realistically speaking it's not harder to be faster than IDA. At least the UI doesn't freeze every time you try to do something.

Is Ghidrah an acronym for something? Or was it named after Godzilla’s greatest foe?

Probably typo since G and H is next to each other :-D

Ghidora is spelled like that

The H after G is there to get English speakers to pronounce it with a hard G sound. The Japanese Godzilla monster’s name appears based on Greek “Hydra”, so deleting the O makes sense, and no final H.
