Good decision by Manhattan CB12 members @MANCB12 and our community support on voting (32 YES & only 4 NO) on the proposal, not to remove, but to have a 2-way #BikeLanes in the northside of Dyckman Street. Our NYC streets belong to everyone!

We all get that, but you endorsed it. You called it "good". It's not good. If you are an advocate for
#VisionZero then you should have tweeted your disappointment and signaled to@NYC_DOT that you would support it not making any changes.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

It is good. Better than removing entire bike lines. Do you understand this is only a proposal, and that CB12 serves on an advisory role. This is not a law. Thanks!

Ugh. That is not how logic works. Both options were bad. Because CB is advisory neither thing needs to happen. What is needed is political will to support DOT to NOT CHANGE THE STREET - that is the "Good" outcome. So say the CB was wrong and tell DOT you have it's back.

"CB12 members compromised." An admission that this is a regression. No place to play with people's lives. A two-way bikeway on one curb is less safe. "Our NYC streets belong to everyone" means people. Stand up for people.

At a time when we ought to be building/rebuilding for the future, CB 12 is content with something less than the best and you applaud them. ?!?!
