Good decision by Manhattan CB12 members @MANCB12 and our community support on voting (32 YES & only 4 NO) on the proposal, not to remove, but to have a 2-way #BikeLanes in the northside of Dyckman Street. Our NYC streets belong to everyone!
There were 2 proposals: one to remove both bike lanes and one to remove one side temporarily as per CB12 members voted last night. Which one of the 2 proposals you would prefer? This is not the Council Member’s vote. But if it is easy to blame him, then it is fine. Thanks!

They should both be rejected and the Council man should speak up for the right action to be taken by DOT, which in this case is to leave the design as it is.

Which the Council Member did, but when other Elected Officials called on DOT to remove the entire bike lanes, CB12 members compromised. This is a decision by CB12 who only serves as a Advisory board as you might know.
