This is shameful Ydanis. This is all about preserving double parking. This is not #VisionZero. A two-way bike lane creates more conflicts between cars and people on bike. You could've exercised leadership here. Instead you cowardly back the NIMBY calls of the "biz community"
Good decision by Manhattan CB12 members @MANCB12 and our community support on voting (32 YES & only 4 NO) on the proposal, not to remove, but to have a 2-way #BikeLanes in the northside of Dyckman Street. Our NYC streets belong to everyone!

Our office advise to attend the next community board meeting to raise your concerns. This proposal by the community board, not by our office, is better that the original proposal of removing both bike lanes. Leadership is listening and respecting the hard work our CB12 members do

Double parking is encouraged and given its own discrete space, there's no way anybody is going to be writing tickets.

2-ways are terrible and higher risk to cyclists as they create dangerous conditions at intersections. Your office and this board failed to highlight and address the actual problem and allow time to analyze the data.

There were 2 proposals: one to remove both bike lanes and one to remove one side temporarily as per CB12 members voted last night. Which one of the 2 proposals you would prefer? This is not the Council Member’s vote. But if it is easy to blame him, then it is fine. Thanks!
