Do you know the councilmen were refusing to get up?

Sitting in traffic is refusal to move. Honestly I don't even care if they were asked to move or not, though they probably were warned. Blocking traffic is not constitutionally protected behavior.

What limits do you think should proscribe cops' use of force in these civil-disobedience arrests? Any?

Yes--they should use the minimum of force necessary to clear traffic.

I'm not in the business of defending cops who break department rules. Let them investigate and fire him if they need to.

You were in the business of defending them just 2 tweets ago. You said “what did they expect.” Remember?

Indeed, if you sit in traffic you should expect to be arrested. I didn't say you should expect to be brutalized or killed.

This is the Trump effect. You think you can change what you said despite the fact that it is literally written an inch above. She said that these arrests were different than the photo friendly arrests and you said “Well if you refuse to get up, what do you expect them to do?”

Yes--in the photo friendly arrests the pols get up upon request and are handcuffed. Yesterday they refused to get up and were forcibly elevated and handcuffed. So what? There is no evidence that they were beaten or brutalized.
