@ltvsquad Perhaps it could be light rail vehicles that are compatible with NYC Transit and/or LIRR tracks.

@ltvsquad If LIRR fares are reduced to NYC Transit level within city limits, it would make sense to have LIRR compatible vehicles.

@ltvsquad Perhaps standard LIRR vehicles could be used on Montauk Line, but light rail MAY be more acceptable to RBL ROW property owners

@ltvsquad It's the beginning of a process. It's great that electeds are pushing these projects. Hopefully, we'll get studies ASAP.

@ltvsquad And hopefully the studies come up with a variety of options from the simple to the complex. Then informed decisions could be made.

@ltvsquad Perhaps even the MTA sometimes uses common sense and would select vehicles that could be serviced by existing shops :)
