What happened to a minimum of 5 miles of car-free streets in each borough? I am a native Staten Islander and I am not a worthless piece of flesh because I refuse to drive a car!
As we are discussing the opening of streets, we need to make sure that ALL boroughs are included within the plan.

#openstreet plan needs a board of community groups who can facilitate street closures without dependence on@NYPDChiefPatrol . There are plenty of models, such as plaza program and weekend walks that can be dug out of the files, dusted off and have permits approved!! Please!Thanks. Opening streets for pedestrians and bikes is complicated. So is everything in NYC. Worth putting our best minds to work to find ways to facilitate healthy social distancing, enhance quality of life and improve air quality with minimal disruption.
