How do the bus operators know who is essential or not? Everyone was still out uptown today.
Local bus rides are free for all NYers. However, we are asking folks that if they do not absolutely have to leave their homes, they should please remain indoors.

I'm a Bus Operator on the M3. There is no way to achieve social distancing when we get to 181 and we have a crowded bus. Tonight as I was driving down on 188th and St. Nicholas, the check cashing business had 40+ people inside and a line outside. It's business as usual.

Y soy dominicano, But it's scary to see everyone hanging out like normal in the heights. As a Bus Operators we are more vulnerable because we have to interact with more people daily then cops or FDNY. They are dispatched when needed, we are out there every minute.
