Why "must" we? A relatively small number of NYers get around by bike. The economic engine of this city depends on moving people and goods throughout. Bike lanes congest traffic, and bureaucrats like you can't fix the trains (or buses). Cars aren't the problem, politicians are!

@NYCCouncil feed with testimony from about 15 organizations. 8 million New Yorkers walk places. It makes sense to have resources dedicated to improving their safety. Hundreds of New Yorkers suffer serious injuries, that cost families, yet the advocacy is lax. - Show replies
