On one hand you say you're on the taxi drivers' side but EVERYTHING the city council has done (esp those on the transportation committee) has been taxing, surcharging only the taxi/FHV industry which ultimately lands on the driver.

I think the drivers deserve honesty. And the honest truth is that the city has forgone civil liberties and have leaned on the taxi drivers to pay for city infrastructure. The new bike infrastructure is being paid for by the drivers with these extra fees and civilian complaints.
