        A great step to safeguard pedestrians would be to establish a 3rd, pedestrian-only traffic signal cycle at *every* crosswalk. Soft humans should never have to share crosswalks with turning cars/aggressive or careless drivers.

        Hmm... In the Netherlands, there's something like this, primarily for bikes, but pedestrians also benefit.
