Why on Earth is it the government's job to bail out private businesses that made plenty of profits for so many years? How about bailing new York city's homeless and mentally ill first?

because the government sold them these licenses promising they would be the only ones allowed to pick up street hails. all the rules and regulations went out the window. i agree that homelessness is an issue, but honestly they have nothing to do with one another
