The city's primary failure here is not its road cleaning response, but the enabling of private passenger vehicles as a commuting mode. Transit is better suited to move commuters in good weather and bad, but transit is underfunded in deference to drivers.

The majority of New Yorkers, who don't drive, are failed when your committee spends all of its time complaining about parking instead of how to fund and fix our failing mass transit and unsafe streets. Last night should be a wake up call that cars are unsustainable for NYC.
