People are pushed out by landlords, developers, and speculators that want empty apartments so they can raise the rent. Be courageous, tell the Mayor and EDC their rezoning is no good for your community and you are voting NO.
Of course, let’s blame everyone, but let’s include the gentrifiers, who are new to the neighborhood and are willing to pay more money to the landlords for those empty apartments. This is not politicking, this is about keeping our families in their homes. Hope you agree with us!

I agree completely this is about keeping families in their homes. And about keeping family small businesses in their stores. Thing is, MIH with 70-80% market rate apartments would cause massive gentrification pressure. 1/2
