My concern is with the proposed Inwood rezoning which will push out Immigrant - owned small businesses and give landlords even more incentive to push rent stabilized tenants from their homes.

Immigrants are pushed out from this community daily because of two reasons: 1- people are moving to this community willing to pay the landlords more money causing landlords not to renew the lease of that Immigrant tenant, 2- We must build affordable housing to keep that tenant.

And adding thousands of market/luxury units under MIH will accelerate the rise in rents - and push out our small businesses. In W'burg more housing was built and rents skyrocketed.
