1. Believe all victims 2. If true why not tell NYT as much when they sought to confirm the story before publishing? 3. Believe all victims 4. The *cough* photos 5. Believe all victims 6. Stooping so low as to exploit public affection for Bourdain to deflect blame? tsk tsk

(TMZ is reporting that they've seen the post-coital selfie and that there are texts exchanged between Bourdain and Asia where Asia contradicts herself and says she didn't rape Bennett, Bennett jumped her to fulfill a childhood fantasy of his.)
-
Whaaat? SMDH RIP Anthony
-
Anthony realized all the lies. He was blindly in love (younger woman, etc etc), but that was too much. Fueled depression again.
-
no ma’am. let’s stick to the facts...just like weinstein’s with accusers
-
Yes she had sex with him. Yes he was underage. Yes she played his mother in a film when he was EIGHT. Yes he is a drug addict. Yes he did a
#HarveyWeinstein movie and he’s behind this move. Yes there was a payoff. Yes she is guilty of statutory rape. YES I feel sick.#MeToo

Yeah, being a victim of sexual violence herself doesn't excuse her from things she did. Bringing up Anthony in this context only makes her look even worse. I believe she was abused by Weinstein, and I also believe she abused Bennett. Not mutually exclusive.
-
That's entirely my belief.
-
Poor, poor Anthony - he contributed much more to the world than Ms. Argento can ever produce and all he got was heartache over this situation. RIP weary traveler, we shall never see his likeness again.

"RIP weary traveler, we shall never see his likeness again" Beautiful

Thanks Doug. My hubby had a heart attack on June 8th and I wasn't able to absorb the breadth of emotions I needed to feel for Anthony's passing, but I was able to watch some interviews this weekend and mourn him properly. Am gutted at this latest revelation - he deserved better.
-
I am sorry to hear that Angela. He's hangin out with Bourdain now on an island, in the sunset
-
Thanks again... you're so kind. I didnt have enough characters to include that hubby is fine now, recovering very well after triple bypass surgery
Hubby is back to running again (under Drs approval) just wish we had the opportunity to enjoy more Bourdain's wonderful shows! - 1 more reply

Is it me or does the blaming of a matter on your deceased boyfriend seem super sketchy and gross?!
-
To even bring up his name in connection with it at all is ick.

She spelled her dead boyfriends name wrong. It’s Anthony not Antony

-
She’s Italian! Why pick at that?
-
Because it's his name and is a proper noun. This is not, for example, colour/color which is dependant on whether you use English or American English spelling. It stays the same.
-
this is silly and beside the point. Antony is the Italian pronunciation, there is no H .
#basta -
We aren't debating pronunciation though, are we? We are debating spelling. Here in the UK we pronounce it 'Antony', but spell it Anthony.
-
Glad you’re focused on the important stuff, Mr Benet
-
Yes, something of a digression there. For what it's worth, considering the statement, I believe the victim.
