So yea if your defense is "this isn't GNU" then perhaps you should do what you can to make that lack of a relationship more formal. I would do it myself but afaik I don't have any "GNU Friends" who would know how to get that link removed from the website.
And shame on you @domgetter for writing this travesty of a code of conduct.
Written by someone who clearly has never been treated unfairly because of who they are & who has 0 empathy. Imagine how quickly things could escalate by talking privately to the wrong-doer
Honestly, if its not GNU then you should correct your initial tweet. The link is probably just there because this tool is a dependency of some GNU projects. Anyway it's not fair to blame GNU for that imho.

Ironically, flex is one of the many (many!) projects originally developed by someone with no relation whatsoever to GNU or the FSF, but since it used the GPL Stallman went “yeah, that's ours too” and erased the author's name.
