Well, running that far out of the goal as the keeper is always a huge risk. Something like this was bound to happen sooner or later for Neuer. And it happened, at the worst moment imaginable. So, I don't exactly feel sorry for him.

I don’t think he needs/wants us to feel sorry for him. He knew the risk well and he failed. Sure, the worst moment possible. But still doesn’t deserve to be attacked like this. The result hurts not only for the fans, but also for him. Only hope he grow stronger after this time.

Agreed, I do hope he comes back stronger. Also, I didn't attack him, but I can understand to some degree why the German press is burning the team and the coach down to the ground. I never expected this either to happen.

Yes, Sule or Hummels should be doing that. But there is always the desperate time where we need to make a choose/risk. He didn’t break the rules. He risked, he failed, but that’s it. It shouldn’t define his whole career.

It definitely doesn't define his career, but the risk was not worth it, the resulting goal was humiliating. He's still top class but I hope he learns for it.
