NYC's home care workers were originally only going to be eligible for the vaccine on January 11th. They're now eligible NOW, but this tweet is maybe the only way you'd know. If you are/know/work with a home care worker/personal care aide, please share this news!

It’s embarrassing that a corporation enjoying pandemic profits, millions in PPP & more in tax giveaways is fighting a $1 raise for essential workers who‘ve risked their lives all year to feed us. It’s time we stand up for essential workers everywhere. Thank you 💪🏽

If you are advertising for a "POWER BI CONSULTANT" you should be obliged to include the qualifier "SOFTWARE PLATFORM" in the subject line to avoid getting my hopes up.

Last night, the NYPD broke up a picket line in the Bronx and arrested several strikers. These guys work all day lifting heavy boxes, so produce can get into the city. They are on strike for an extra $1 an hour

Instead of learning their work and policy recommendations and doing everything we can as researchers to help get these shared concerns on the table, I see white men rebranding as “disinformation,” “extremism,” and “conspiracy” experts. It’s bumming me out.

It’d abhorrent to have been arguing for simple policy fixes for years and only have support for them when hell touches down for the white middle class. BIPOC and women have been organizing for decades to get policies enforced for community safety online.

Becca wrote, “In a media environment consisting of networked influencers, YouTube must respond with policies that account for influence and amplification, as well as social networks.” This recommendation was simple, clear, and I told every company of the implications.

Just gonna leave this here. When we released the Alternative Influence Network report ( is the author), many were criticial of the humble recommendation that social media companies should review accounts as they gained popularity.

hey friends: I know you love your cloth mask from Etsy/your BFF/yourself, but *please* consider improving your mask game as says below. I’ve had good experience with the airpop KN95 equivalent, 40 hr wear time + great glasses seal (h/t ):

Let’s be clear that the UK has had a pretty shitty COVID response but let us pause for a moment to appreciate a nationally managed healthcare infrastructure and what it does for vaccination logistics.
