I loved Narnia without knowing about the Jesus thing iirc but the resurrection made no sense to me. Like, he suddenly got resurrected due to secret magic that had never been mentioned before? And was never explained? Why? Why didn't he just tell the children that in advance?
And I appreciate "do everything to save one life" for Edmund, but Aslan letting the witch kill him was going to get everyone else killed in the battle and then be ruled by the witch forever, that didn't seem better.
Yeah it's interesting to see when similar types of events pop up elsewhere. I think it's funny that Lewis squeezes Aslan into Jesus and the next book he puts Bacchus into Narnia.
Coming back from the dead is one of the most used trope in narration. In the last star wars, they resurrect... 3 or 4 characters. Multijesuses ! :D
