I used to do a version of this and I would genuinely lose good shit that took way too long to come back - sometimes over a year, etc - and my frustration with *that* let me to develop a sort of aggressive link-processing system

I am constantly trying to organize my environment to reduce my cognitive load, and I do this instinctively whenever a certain complexity threshold has been reached.

Externally, I can give the impression of being an extremely organized person. This is because my mind is a fucking spaghetti nest of categories, labels, concepts and tasks, and reducing cognitive complexity is my only cope.
