It's a good take, but there's no such thing as Capital either imo if you want to talk about a dark force lurking at the edges of human experience throughout history that's fine, but you have to accept that you're speaking in theological terms you're talking about the Devil
Using explicitly theological terms probably raises even more problems than saying "capital" if you're talking to anyone from a WEIRD background.
Or, alternatively, that metaphor is already the hobgoblin of half of the population's mind, thanks to a Marx-ish education.
I am not a big fan of Marx, but I do see the world being remade by something which is independent of human values. If you want to convince me I'm wrong, just pointing and saying "Marx!" is not the way to do it.
