Novice meditators hate this tweet. Before one studies Zen, mountains are mountains; after a 1st glimpse into the truth of Zen, mountains are no longer mountains; after enlightenment, mountains are once again mountains. Stop making the act of sitting into your idol.https://twitter.com/ThinkInPeach/status/1248634333834797056 …

@ThinkInPeach is making an important point. A lot of Westerners who misunderstand their own culture and hate themselves turn to Eastern religions and dualistically think that meditation is good and prayer is bad. They miss the main point of nondual mind.https://twitter.com/MimeticValue/status/1248694830009438209 …Mimetic Contagion added,

If you're upset that someone is insulting your meditation practice, then that means you're still a meditation novice & you're worshiping meditation as an idol. Once you emotionally move past this, you can begin to look at Christianity with a Beginners Mind and learn from it.

Unlike most Westerners, I did not have the baggages of these who were mislead by idol worshippers who label themselves "Christian." Most people are not ready for the Christianity of Kierkegaard, Girard, and Dostoevsky until they've detoxed themselves through meditation.
