Corona virus really is a moral alternative to war - a collective threat, and we don't even have to engage in a process of dehumanization, because it's not human.

If anything we have not taken the metaphor seriously enough, given the need quickly and rapidly re-orient our economies and day to day life to the new threat. Ancestral stuff aside, war is the best reference point in living memory to describe what we have to do.
