you're right otoh, it's not surprising that people get upset when it seems that the wealthy are routinely bailed out when they're in trouble, even when it's clearly their fault, while everyone else carries the cost of their mistakes - and often those of others - to the grave

companies should get bailouts if they have generous and pro social sick leave policies for their employees and suffer losses from them. those who are willing to bear distributed costs for the rest of us should not bear them alone. the rest can gft.
