Alief/belief distinction? Seems pretty common for things you're scared of. I don't believe people at parties are going to be mean to me, but I'm still scared that they will.

I've also been reading a lot of phenomenology as part of my general project to unfuck my brain and found that super useful too. Don't get me wrong, a lot of philosophy is garbage, but there's some good shit in there too.
