so maybe the “good” business decision is to choose the thick ambiguous accent over anything more specific to make the most people “happy.” Though, when i see audio options on movies differentiating spain and latin american Spanish it makes me v happy

I'm not sure I love the implication here. Any frequent speaker of a non-native language can choose to work on tweaking their accent. I'm not stoked about criticising them for either choice, even if it's made for... you know, branding reasons.

I’m not critiquing her. If anything I feel bad that we get put into such small boxes because it’s the only representation people are willing to fund or consume.
