🎉Saturday night app fever, I'm finally releasing an OSS command line calculator app I have been working on during this year, available for Windows (Store coming!), Linux and macOS (oops, also soon!😅) >>> print "Hello World!" Hello World! With ❤️and 🤗

As much as I have been asking for Source Generators support in Roslyn , I haven't been having any time in the past months to experiment some new ideas with them... 😅 But, what are the cool things you have been using them for or have you seen anything very cool done with them? 😎

Great to see LSP (Language Server Protocol) being more supported by Visual Studio (in addition to VS code), it's the future for cross-IDE language support I should try again playing with LSP now that it supports semantic token

If the WebView2 is being made accessible to Mac OSX and Linux that might encourage to build more xplat rich .NET desktop apps, I love the potential! ♥️ Though the runtime footprint on the disk is 300MB+ 😱

It's a tough challenge for any long-running project, as much as quality and innovation will start to tank by the lack of a strong ownership... So my experience here is: don't underestimate it but plan for it.

But It's not just about people: internal documentation, design decisions logs, (proper) comments in code do participate also to this ownership... Yet, we often don't learn this at school nor I haven't seen many teams taking great care of this...

At some point, while forgetting about the importance of this ownership with some turnover going on, a team can end up being responsible for a majority of the code that they don't know (yet) well, didn't decide about its design and didn't write most of it...

Building ownership for a project can take years but maintaining it is also critical. Having folks leaving projects over time is a very common scenario as well as forgetting that some ownership is leaving at the same time...

From the last sequence in the trailer (red pill), hope it's not going to be "John Wick: The Matrix Killer" 😅

So while I have been trying to work on it on both sides of the problem, obviously I need to continue working on it 😁 If you have been in a similar spot (listener or speaker), what are your tips to correct such a behavior?

Got a feedback at work that, often, "I talk too much" From the perspective of the listener, I understand it as: - I don't give enough space for others (shut the fuck up Alex😅) - and/or what I'm saying is boring, unstructured or laborious to listen to...

Are you using an affordable MindManager like software for your personal use? Which one are you using? cc: maybe as I saw that you are using one?

So I got access to and it's pretty much exactly what I wanted. I think this is going to seriously change how companies manage their programs and projects. Thank you

GitHub Actions is bringing action composition (or "templating"), that was much awaited, a super welcome feature! I might be finally able to use a single template for all my .NET OSS repos 😎

Pretty cool to be able to make global using declared automatically in your project by just dropping a package... didn't know that the C# 10 global using feature would also be accessible through msbuild!

Slack tips at Work: don't post a message during the weekend - Nobody is supposed to respond - It sends the signal that you are working while the others are not ("shame" on them) - No breaks from work means burnout at some point Saying this as someone that might have done that

Fixed. After investigating the logs, it appeared that my EFI system partition didn't have the proper UUID setup as I migrated my disks to a new PC before these updates This is where I found the solution

Correction: that feature is not part of C# 10 as it needs more baking. It is in preview for now and should be part of C# 11.
