I was part of the team that built the Dark Souls IP/brand way back when I was in the industry. (I was in the Community team at HQ)
A few fun facts:
- The game was supposed to be called Dark Ring. Our colleagues in the UK informed us that that meant something else. Woops!

you don't get dark souls without berserk. you don't get monster hunter without berserk. the visual language of what we think of as modern Fantasy is unrecognizable without berserk. it is one of the largest craters on the moonscape. a striking & clumsy & above all singular vision
