Gemma O'Doherty is not anti immigration. Gemma O'Doherty like many of us Irish want our borders closed and non nationals who seek asylum or immigrants to all be screened.. Does that make sense to you ?

Ah now, you see that, Jane. She's not anti-immigration, she just wants you "screened" and for people trying to escape persecution, war zones, abject poverty and torture to be ignored. She's basically a saint and not racist at all.

1.2 billion Africans live in abject poverty. By your own metrics we are responsible for each and every one of them. Hmmm you see these impossible standards that you liberals have, will eventually come back to haunt us all.

Have you any idea how little number of asylum seekers Ireland is taking? How do you limit the number of legal immigration? By race, color and religion? If China say we want less Irish, more Americans, how do you react?

That's up to China. Our asylum seeking process doesn't even attempt to prepare people for eventual repatriation. As a nation with severe housing and financial issues immigration of any type right now is damaging. Although you are right asylum seekers shouldn't be a problem.

There are many sides causing housing issues. If the regulations control the price at the first place, it wouldn't be as bad. Plus houses mostly owned by Irish natives and Irish companies. In Dublin so so many houses owned by giga companies, they're most responsible for the prices

Our government are useless. But basic economics: Higher demand = less supply This will drive up the prices, this is not the fault of a person coming here looking for work. It's the governments fault for allowing so much migration when they know our available supply is low.

Could you elaborate how to limit the number of legal immigration?
