This might be an unpopular opinion but I think that console players shouldn't be allowed aim assist if they are playing in a tournament. Left trigger aim lock spam is gross.

Get a grip, I don’t even play console but aiming with pc is still a hell of a lot easier than with your thumbs and aim assist

Do you think that they would be at a greater disadvantage without aim assist though? More difficult to aim with your thumb only with dead zones on controller joysticks vs getting to using arm & wrist on mouse. I agree it's a weird situation though.

This I agree with...but OP is deluded if he thinks a controller with aim assist is better than mouse and keyboard.
