The distances you are suggesting are pretty "standard" in today´s game; maybe 40, 50 and 60, endzone play attempt should remain at TWO points.

No kicks. 1 point from the 2 1/2 yd line. 2 from the 5. 3 from the 10. 4 from the 20. 5 from the 30. 6 from the 40, etc. Go the whole length of the field. A defensive score matches what the offense attempted (from the 5 would mean defense gets 2, etc.) huge comebacks possible.
