Yes. The master private key is derived from salt and passphrase every time you use it. All past and unconfirmed transactions are downloaded from the electrum server, and the wallet is reconstructed every time you use it. Same goes when using BIP39 seeds.

Using salt may contribute to the entropy, if the extension is not known by the attacker (e.g. was part of a pwned list). I suggest following the "correct horse battery staple" technique and choose a really good password.

It seems that Lightning is trending. IMHO, it has matured enough for regular day to day transactions. The userbase is growing and it's easier and faster than ever before to transact with Lightning as a layer 2 solution. For greater adoption, need more business owners to accept.
