Today I learned that many people think you can’t simultaneously believe humans were created for eternal life and oppose abortion/euthanasia. Twitter is a fascinating place.

believe in your own eternal life, or whatever nonsense you want. just don't kill Grandma doing it. Not hard to grasp.

End the lockdown so people can feed themselves and their kids, and focus preventative measures toward the elderly. Grandma lives and there's fewer starving kids.

This tweet sounds defensive and immature, which it really should. A lot of right wing Americans these days think of something and then just blurt it out, skipping the middle step of asking, does this even make sense. That leads to step 4, getting defensive.

Today I learned that some conservative, pro-life writers want others to think through the nuance of her positions while refusing to extend that courtesy to those who disagree with her.

exactly. From "all fetuses are sacred" and "rights for Terri Schiavo" to "just how important are the lives of a few elderly." Coherent principles we can all...uh...raise our eyebrows at?
