The scene where they sing “Edelweiss” is one of the most moving parts of any film I’ve ever seen. Leave it to our valiant Trump-era press to somehow decide the song has the exact opposite meaning of how it was intended.

For anyone who hasn’t seen/doesn’t remember “Edelweiss” from The Sound of Music (not this weird left-wing version where it’s a Nazi anthem (?)), here it is. They sing it twice in the film and it sort of needs to be seen in context, but beautiful anyway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4g84dejrJXI …

They've seen The Man in the High Castle and think that's where it comes from.

Yes, I've seen "The Man in the High Castle", but in this case couldn't it just be about celebrating spring flowers after a long hard winter (literally and metaphorically)? It is April, after all.

I'm going with "the last song that Rogers and Hammerstein wrote together". Just sayin'.

I honestly think she’s confusing it with “Tomorrow Belongs To Me” from Cabaret. That’s the only explanation I can think of.
