Tho koreans gamble a lot when they play aggressive, dont you think, that kind of hinders healthy development as a player?

defensive macro play demands perfect play which players can't consistently achieve, so it's also gambling on you always performing your best

Mh but losing because you didnt scout in the first place (KR) or losing because you saw it but didnt play well enough (EU) is diffrent, no?

Yeah for sure just pointing out that seeing defensive macro play as the "right" way to play oversimplifies and disregards human error

Yeah very true. I am thinking a lot about this right now but cant seem to find the right way to get into that Korean playstyle.

Tbh you, me, we're quite blind to much of what goes on in why the players play the way they do cos we dont see the evolution of the meta

Focusing on details, understanding fundamentals and studying WHY things work/don't work is key to improving

Macro play is a good foundation but is only fully fledged when you're aware of everything that can happen at each point and adjusting

That same awareness can be used to make good aggressive gambles

When its a 90% gamble you can barely even call it a gamble :)
