I don't think guides/builds are especially "useful" at all for new SC2 players, but it gives people a psychological safety blanket
yeah theyre most important for mid tier onwards, though for lower players they help introduce ideas

i think low tier players just need the illusion of help so they keep playing, like dota's awful recommended items
