I have tried it, it really depends on what opponents you face. I don't think it's that strong though.
vs no roach style you can go oracle or phoenix. Even sentry stalker if you want blink disruptor

I prefer my adept carrier, playing ground vs Zerg atm seems like a suicide mission.

you can go carriers eventually off this. I prefer extended midgame this forces though atm
