Been wondering if the Thor splash nerf way back when was too much? Thor's looking pretty average vs mutas today!

Big problem was that they nerfed base armor and splash at the same time imo
Quite a few engaged in these games where mutas weren't very well spread and the Thor's still did next to nothing. I remember feeling a lot more fear using mutas in the past, widow mines seem to be the only real threat to diving mutas

How difficult was "magic boxing"? I never played much zerg and I've been out of the game for awhile, but the pros usually made dealing with thor's look pretty simple (of course pros make a lot of difficult things look easy).

To magic box you basically just right click next to the Thor and the mutas will spread by themselves. Really easy. Can be a bit difficult to get them to focus the thor though if there are other units nearby.

Widowmines are useless, as soon as there are 15 mutas piling up and you have no support to 1 or 2 standing alone widows. They get sniped and focused before even locking onto the mutas
