Big problem was that they nerfed base armor and splash at the same time imo
Been wondering if the Thor splash nerf way back when was too much? Thor's looking pretty average vs mutas today!

Quite a few engaged in these games where mutas weren't very well spread and the Thor's still did next to nothing. I remember feeling a lot more fear using mutas in the past, widow mines seem to be the only real threat to diving mutas

Yeah, and it needed to. The other option is make liberator AA great again. Protoss gets the range phoenix absolute hard counter, mech is on struggle Street vs mutas it seems

Nerfed Thor aoe damage and armor while kept the mutas regeneration rate, it makes them capable of harassing the entire game basically.
