i seriously can't even put into words how fucking mad this game makes me feel when i don't play as well as i think i should. i never get this feeling with anything else in my life. it legit feels like my brain is on fire. i look at my games and wonder how i can play so damn badly

I take a break on those days and review my goals, focus on respecting my opponents, being humble, enjoying the game by focusing on those goals not on win or lose. Peak mindset for me = able to enjoy and naturally smile after losing some games.

One thing I’ve seen done with traditional sports players in high school is when players become too focused on the end result over the getting there, some coaches have them benched for games and focus on drills for a bit until it’s out of their system. Idk if you’re open to that.
